Family reunion in Kuusamo 2.-3.7.2016
The family reunion is set to be held in Kuusamo 2.-3.7.2016. The event is held in Kuusamo college, which is located on a central location near Kuusamo center (www.kuusamo-opisto.fi). Family reunion participants have a chance to lodge at the college premises.
Reunion programme:
Saturday 2.7.2016
9:00-10:00 – Registration and welcoming coffee
10:00 – Welcome to the family reunion
- Speeches from family members
- Singing of the song ”Nälkämaan laulu”
11:00-12:00 – Presentation by Juhani Tauriainen ”Tauriaisen sukujuurilla Keski-Euroopassa, Kiannalla ja Kuusamossa”
12:00-13:00 – Lunch
13:00 – Family reunion
18:00 – Dinner at Kuusamo-opisto (includes an abundant buffet dinner, coffee and pastry). Price for adults 25€, children between 0-4 eat free, children between 5-12 half price

10:00 – Service in Kuusamo church
12:00 – Planting the family tree to the Chuch Park
13:00 – Introduction to Kuusamo and its near surroundings, guided by Helena Palosaari and Juhani Tauriainen. The plan is to got to Tauriala area at Soiviojärvi. This is the area where the history of Kuusamo’s family Tauriainen began. There will be a break at Soiviojärvi, from where the journey will continue to Kallioluoma and/or Vanttaja. Family Tauriainen will pay the bus trip. The lunch at Soivio Kurssikeskus costs 7,50€.
At the time of our family reunion, there are Kuusamo days in the area. There will be a variety of programme and activities available.
The participation fee of 2016 family reunion will include welcoming coffee and lunch on Saturday.
