Dear member of the Tauriainen Family Association,

The Tauriainen Family Association’s family reunion was held in Oulu on Saturday and Sunday, 11–12 July 2026. The venue was Restaurant Preludi (Leevi Madetojankatu 1–3).

The Tauriainen Family Association’s summer 2026 family gathering brought together more than 50 participants from different parts of Finland and Sweden. This year, the programme had a strong cultural focus and fitted well with the themes of Oulu 2026, European Capital of Culture. The programme combined genealogy, culture and a shared festive atmosphere, offering both traditions and new ideas for the years ahead.

Saturday, 11 July

11:00 a.m.–12:00 p.m. Oulu Museum of Art, Kasarmintie 9. A guided tour for the Family Association of the Wardrobe of Tomorrow exhibition. Admission fee €9/12, paid individually. See:

2:00–4:30 p.m. Afternoon matinee, Genealogy and Summer Music, Restaurant Preludi. See the programme below.

4:30–6:30 p.m. Statutory General Meeting of the Tauriainen Family Association, Restaurant Preludi. See the meeting invitation.

7:00–10:00 p.m. Dinner and social gathering at Restaurant Preludi. Dinner at participants’ own expense.

Sunday, 12 July

1:00–4:00 p.m. Sailor’s Home Museum, Pikisaarentie 6, followed by a walking tour exploring the industrial history of Pikisaari and the artworks along the Pikinen Polku trail. No admission or participation fee.

The family gathering once again demonstrated the importance of our shared history and of preserving the stories of the Tauriainen family. Special thanks go to the members in the Oulu region for their contribution to organising the event.
